The Wilcox L3 G12, Part Number 28300G12,Three Hole Interface for the MICH/ACH with the Integrated Breakaway Base and Universal NVG Mount allows firm attachment to a MICH helmet drilled with the standard three-hole pattern.  This NVG Mounting System is unique in that it provides three modes of operation.

The first mode allows the mount to “break away” from the base under a stressed condition such as getting snagged during fast roping or hitting a hard object when entering or exiting a vehicle or building.  With this breakaway feature serious neck injuries and equipment damage can be minimized or avoided.

The second mode allows the Universal NVG Mount to securely lock the mount to the base. 

The third mode allows the breakaway base to pivot away from the Helmet Bracket by means of a locking bayonet interface and staying with the NVG when the it is not in use, reducing the weight and profile.

Features:

Breakaway feature allows the mount to break away under stress or to be securely locked into place with the breakaway switch

Locking Bayonet Interface Allows the L3 series breakaway base to be fully removed from the bracket

Can be used with the Wilcox NVG Lanyard to prevent their loss when the mount breaks away from the base during heavy stress on the goggles.

Detachable Wilcox NVG Lanyard provides a secure attachment to prevent the loss of the NVG, breakaway base, and universal mount from the helmet mount base

Breakaway Universal NVG Mount interfaces with the entire L2 and L3 series of NVG mounting systems that includes the NVG Ratchet Strap and Head Mounting Systems
