The Wilcox P/N 28300G10, L3 G10 One Hole MICH Helmet Bracket with the Integrated Breakaway Base and Universal NVG Mount allows firm attachment to a MICH helmet drilled with the standard one-hole pattern.  This NVG Mounting System is unique that it provides two modes of operation. 

The first mode allows the mount to “break away” from the base under a stressed condition such as getting snagged during fast roping or hitting a hard object when entering or exiting a vehicle or building.  With this breakaway feature serious neck injuries and equipment damage can be minimized or avoided.

The second mode allows the Universal NVG Mount to securely lock the mount to the base.

Breakaway feature allows the mount to break away under stress or to be securely locked into place with the breakaway switch

Can be used with the Wilcox NVG Lanyard to prevent their loss when the mount breaks away from the base during heavy stress on the goggles.
